Is there a good supplier for sheet metal like this and other finishes? Maybe Im looking in the wrong place. Its rough when you cant find a place to spend yer dough!

Brian check with Sun Supply in Seattle, they carry some of that stuff. It may have to come from their Portland branch though. If not Wrisco will sell direct to you but the freight will be as much as the sheets (4x8).

Have you thought about a welding shop that sells aluminum? I just went through the same search and went to one of my local welding shopsbought a 4' x 4' sign. I took rough grain sand paper to it and "brushed it out" now my only delima is that I need to clear coat the aluminum so that there is no oxidizing. Also try Custom Cut Aluminum 1-800-322-8848.

You might also try laminate suppliers in your area. Some of the companies that supply Formica type laminates also carry brushed and anodized Aluminum sheet. I have seen Gold anodized and clear anodized (possibly other colors are available). Some have mirror polished metals as well, although I do not like to use mirror polished because of readability issues.
