...or Waukesha, to be exact. We don' need no steenking airplanes! Last time I flew to a meet, airport security got all paranoid about the pounce wheel in my kit. So I'm renting a large automobile with a stereo and cruise control and leaving Pawcatuck on Monday July 30. Any 'heads in New England or on the way want to share a ride, e-mail me.

We don't need a ride, but myself and a signpainter from New Carlise, Indiana are riding together for the panel jam. I know she would like to drive her '49 Chevy pickup, but it is in the shop getting a new rear main seal (sp) at the moment. We will just take her other truck or mine. We will be leaving South Bend, Indiana and zipping around the bottom of Lake Michigan on Aug. 2.
I am really looking forward to the get-a-way weekend. Last one I went to was in Bloomington, In and Carrie (C. Gelow Signs) says she hasn't been to a meet since the one in Niles, Michigan in the mid 1980's. We are really looking forward to all the fun.

Hope you have a carload by the time you get there Cam. Maybe you should get a bus.
Barb and I are still planning on making this meet, as well as Pat & Bobbie's meet in September. Our plans depend on what a fancy heart surgeon in Hamilton tells me July 18.
The Waukesha International looks like a real winner. If cost has been holding you back in the past, you'll never find a better bargain than this meet.

Cam- I already have my plane tickets but would have taken you up on the deal. I was in Pawcatuk this past weekend. Riding the waves at Watch Hill beach. Saw alot of signage along Route one. Some must have been yours.

Felix if you Kayaked all the way from there up the east coast and then traversed the rivers and lakes to get to Milwaukee I would feel obligated to buy you a beer. So on that note I challenge you to Kayak the whole way. I will even pick you up at the nearest body of water and take you directly to the bar for that beer I would owe ya.

Got our rooms a couple nights ago, and at one of the places on the list.
The "Letterhead discount" was much more expensive than reserving the room over the Internet.
So we saved $30.00 per night NOT telling them we were Letterheads. The lesson learned here is always check the Internet first and see if you can find rooms at the same establishments listed on the meet list, then see if you can cut a better deal!
Just FYI

Okay all you Milwaukee bound, or should I say Waukesha bound; things are heating up. Tours at Harley Davidson are available Monday through Friday at three different times per day, you should be able to find someone for a ride. Our room blocks all expired so now it's fend for yourself, maybe Dave Draper could shed some light on he got a better deal than what we negotiated from the motel chains. I hope everyone gets a room. Felix, if you're rowing a canoe I hope you left already. One of our speakers is going to include Milwaukee breweries as a part of his talk. This Friday, after the traditional Friday night fish fry we'll all be painting panels at Berry Signs and laying out the wall mural. I've been there a 100 times before I say Milwaukee but it's probably Waukesha or some other 'berb. Anyone want to join give us a call and we'll give you directions.
P.S. Harley Davidson asked visitors to be fully dressed and no sandals.

YO, Slewfoot, or should I say "Swine-foot"?
If I gotta be fully dressed for the Harley tour, how am I gonna show off all them blurry, glue-inspired tattoos I got plastered all over my sagging...oops, more information than you need to know!
If'n I can't get a room no more, will Dave the Letterman let me bunk with him? Course he'll be so busy driving people around on pub crawls, he won't have time to sleep anyway, right?
I think Cam's got the right idea--cruise-o-matic America with the AC on, everything is groovy!
