Anyone here use EstiMate to handle your estimations and invoicing and what not? Any really good points or bad points? I saw an ad for it and checked out the website, and it seemed pretty cool.. just want to get the lowdown on it, see if it is worth purchasing...thanks for your opinions!

I appreciate your interest in EstiMate and I'd like to make myself available to you if you have any questions. I wrote EstiMate because I needed to have a method for properly pricing my work, and that made sense to me as a sign maker. Many, many shops have been helped by using EstiMate and I hope you will become one of them.
I'm a relatively new user & am satisfied with what it does. I especially like the suppliers' database where you enter all your raw materials & their costs to you. Then when you create an estimate there's no need to search thru catalogs because its already done. When you convert estimate into a job, you can manifest a list of needed supplies which also includes supplier names & numbers (if you've included that info in database).
If you've downloaded the demo, you may have noticed that you can type in 2 hourly rates. 1 for design & 1 for production. Then when estimating you can keep design & production times separated.
There are numerous reasons why you might consider purchasing this software & you should consider also getting the training cd's which will greatly reduce your start-up time.
Good luck in your decision.

Tyler, I also have Estimate Pro and love it. I quote much quicker (and more profitably), and get many more jobs because I can quote almost immediately. This has the "impulse buy" effect on your potential customer, and quite often results in an order right then and there. Also very easy to learn and use.
Mark's a genuinely okay guy, too.

I love EstiMate! Really pretty easy to use, gives you estimates for any request that walks into the shop. I don't have to remember anymore sq. ft. numbers and 'jeez, what was that aluminum priced at'...

YUP I use it and I love it! The ONLY draw back (forgive me Mark) that I can see from using it for 2 years or so now is the occasional person who wants a price on something when I am awayfrom the shop. I have totally forgotten all the prices etc.. that I use to store in my brain! Waaalaaa! room for something else now! Buy it, you will love yourself everytime you use it!
