Good Morning!
In graphix advantage 6.2... when I output a job into the plot menu and I then I try to out put another job or Have it ready to go in the plot menu.. it replaces the job that I have on the go at that time... Confusing?
Another words if I'm printing a job on the edge and while I'm printing that job and I decide to cut something else while the job is printing, the cut job replaces the plot spooler the printing job is using... then I can't use that printing spooler.. I have to go out to the design page and reselect that job and output again. Is there a switch that was turned off?

Neil,

Bumping this up for you in an attempt to get some attention.

Wish I could give you a definitive solution, but this one has me stumped. Any other Gerber users experience this? Perhaps post something over at 4edgetalk.com, maybe people that visit only that board will have some insight. Good Luck!

Thanks for bumping this up Bob... I was beginning to wonder if I had some kind of desease or something... This one has me stumped as well... it's a real pain not being able to have multiple plot spoolers open. I have 2 work stations side by side the other works fine.
Hey Glenn Taylor, Do you have any words of wisdom on this one?

Hi Neil,
I just checked my system that has GA6.21 with GAplot32 plotting software.

Normally, you can have as many different plot jobs opened in GAplot32 as your ram memory can handle. I brought in several diffrent jobs and they all came in as a different window. In earlier versions of Plot, you could only have one job open at one time but the 32 bit version made that big improvement. If yours has GAplot32 in the title bar (when you have it open), then something must have become corrupted. In that case, I'd do a quick uninstall of the GA software, and reinstall it. In 15 minutes, you would know if that is the problem.

Good luck,
M. Jackson

Neil,
I had problems in the past with a document prints, the print would not finish if I tried to cut anything while it was printing. I reinstalled the software, but I still had the same problem. I finally decided to ad another printer port and it solved the probloem. i now have the GA6.2 security block attached to LPT1 and my printer attached to LPT2. Apparently when I was printing and then tried to cut the program would look for the security block on LPT1 and mess up the communication between the printer port and the printer. I can now print and cut at the same time. I'm not sure how the Edge is setup, but you might want to try this out if everything else doesn't work.

Neil,

Did M.J.’s suggestion get back working correctly? Just wondering for future reference.
