Got a buddy that has a sprint car(non-winged) and I do the #'s, lettering, ect. in exchange for having the biggest Logo on the car. I have got several jobs from this one so it has worked out well.
A little over a week ago he went flying over the outside wall at our local track, crunched the car but good, he was fine. He brings it to me yesterday and needs the #'s put back on the gas tank for an upcoming important race, High Dollar!!!!
The gas tank is approx 3' long total. It was crushed almost in half. He filled it with water and sat it out in the hot sun. It expanded back out except there are waves and creases EVERYWHERE!!!
I had to use the WET-Dry metheod to apply the 2 color #'s I did it just like I would do wet only had to do it dry, FUN,FUN!!!!!
I tried dry first, no dice, then tried a normal wet app., uh-uh.
It did turn out nice considering the surface though!!!!!
