Using SignLab....When plotting or cutting a 1" text from my software my plotter cuts it 3/8". Whats up with That?
Never did that while i used Casmate or Flexi.
Checked all signlab options can't figure this one out? Any idea ya'll?
Thanks

Sounds like the plotter's scaling is goofed up. I would look at your plotter options and set the scaling or resolution to 1:1.

Try typing in a few letters, convert them to curves, paths etc... and then check and see if the font is actually 1". I have a few ttf fonts that are under sized so I have to be careful at times.

Is that 1 inch the height of the caps? Thing is, it will count as 1 inch from the top of a capital letter to the bottom of any descenders in lower-case letters. Hope this helps.

I have had this happen also. I had to zoom in to the small letters then re~check to make sure they were exactly 1".

Matthew,

Most plotters use a HPGL scale of 1016 (if I remember right). However, other plotters use a different number. You need to contact SignLab. The tech-boys there can walk you through what has to be changed in the SignLab2.ini file or the "plottername".ini file (I think that's the correct file). It is real simple to do so don't sweat it.

The way to tell if this is the problem is if everything else you cut is the wrong size too. Draw a box and a circle 1" tall and cut them. If they measure the correct size, then you have a different problem altogether.
