Let me set the picture for you. It is last Wed. afternoon. I had spent about 4 hours that morning and about 2 hours the day before scanning in and cleaning up 4 logos for 3 local radio stations and one TV station. These were for banners, 19 of them that had to go out the door Thursday afternoon for our local "Freedom Festival" that includes Hydroplane races and this year the "Blue Angels" are here. All these banners were rush jobs ordered this week.
Wed. afternoon about 3:30pm I am finishing up the last layout. All of a sudden my computer just starts "clicking" at me. Won't do anything!!!! I shut it down manually(with the button, because the mouse won't work) and try to reboot it. NO DICE!!! It starts to load windows then nothing.
I call my computer guy and he says bring it right in,sounds like the hard drive died and we will try to save the data to a new one. After several hours it is decided that the data is lost and the hard drive is shot.
At 9:00pm I get my computer back and and get it back to the shop and start to reload all my programs I needed at the moment. I called Don to ask him a question and tell him my situation. He is slow at his shop and offers to come over Thursday afternoon to lend and hand.
I spent until 1:00am re scanning and rebuilding the files I needed. The next morning, bright and early I am back at it to finish the files. Penny takes off from her ejob at 11:00am to come to the shop and help weed and stuff.
Don gets there at about 1:30 and starts sticking the banners. BY 5:00 we have them all done and the customers come by and get them. Happy as can be!!
I could not have delivered these jobs on time without the great support and help from my wife Penny, and my Good Friend Don Hulsey!!!!!
I am still not on-line at the office yet, but on another note I have a computer at home now as my Dad just bought a new one and gave us back this one that we had been letting him use.
Thank Goodness for good Wives and Good Friends and the Letterhead movement!!!!!
Thanks to ALL!!!!!!!

Yup, yup. Cool heads. One question. Don't youse guys store and operate all of your graphics from a Zip Drive? Leaving the hard drive free? If anything at all happens to us, we just reload the original program and all of our jobs and graphics are intact. I'm actually computer illiterate, but it sure does work for us.

Just glad I could be there to help out. This is the first time I have been on here since. We had a lot going on this weekend, and I haven't had time to even turn the computer on. Maybe next week we can get back to normal running.
