Thanks for the information and tips from everyone about airbrushes. I believe I'll pay a few dollars more and go with the Eclipse.

I have a question now about paints. Particularly paints to use with vinyl. I would prefer to start out using a paint that was "ready-to-go" for airbrushes. I hope I'm not asking too much.

I have some information about Deka Sign Air paints. They claim it is ready for use and was made to airbrush on vinyl. Another benefit is that I think I can get it locally. But is it worth it?

Are there any other paints that could be used right out of the bottle that will be durable for awhile (with clearcoat of course)? It just seems it would be easier on the learning curve if I didn't have to worry about mixing anything with the paint.

As always, thanks for your help. It seems that all I ever do is ask questions, but everyone is always so helpful on this board I CAN'T HELP IT! Someday I hope to be able to repay the favor.

Thanks guys and gals.
Randy

I used to use Deka but it seemed to clog up so often it was frustrating. But then that was when I was getting started so it very well could have been user error. The stuff sure did stick though, very aggressive on vinyl. I have been Createx Auto air lately with good results, pretty much ready to use with a few drops of the additives to help adhesion its very simple. The urethanes are the best choice for durability by far but its certainly a longer (and unhealthier) process. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi Randy, I use Createx AutoAir with great results. As far as using it on vinyl, it's ready-to-use. If you're using it on metal or wood, then they have some additives to use. You will definitely want to check this out: www.bearair.com They'll have everything you need. Good luck. Spud
