I have just had to pay NZ$114 for ONE new Graphtec blade for my FC2100-50 plotter..!!
The last time I bought blades they where about $65...!!!
Can anyone recommend a supplier and any information on blade re-sharpening would be of interest to me as I have over 50 old blades.

Gday Norm,
I subbied to a shop about 100 metres from Graphtec Qld, on the rare occasion they had blades they were as dear as poison.
I wound up calling a guy that sharpens tools onsite, he was recommended by some carpenter friends and relatives that use him.
We were more than happy with the results.
I guess there'd be similar businesses in your neck of the woods.
HTH,
David

Hi norm, Graphic Art Mart in Brisbane sharpen blades for $12 each and I am very happy with the job they do. If you would like any further info feel free to email me and I could give you their address etc.

Giday Norm, how's Kiwiland? Must get back to visit one day

I used to get a friend in USA to Airmail me new Graphtec Blades as they are dirt cheap (relatively) over there.

Now I use a sharpening service here in Brisbane and have no problems ... last blade has lasted as long as a new one.

Tape a dozen old blades to a piece of cardboard and send them to me ... I"ll get them sharpened for you.

Takes about a week to get them back

I once worked with a guy from New Zealand named Warren Snow. Great mechanic. He was a pleasure to be with and I've been out of touch for many years. He came from the north island. Anyone know of him?

I don't know if he knows anything about Graphtec blades, but he sure handles a quill masterfully!
