Thats all? Nuttin doin..THATS A DIG DEAL!! Keep up the good work. I never could go the first day. It would bite me late at night. Then one day..I went a whole day. I was so proud of myself for 2 reasons. First,that I had finally made the "first day" And second,I knew once I did one day,then more would follow ,and they did. Good for you!!!

Fabulous! Coax that old nasty habit downstairs one step at a time and then throw it out the door. You will love the life that's waiting for you, only tough thing is getting there, but it gets a little easier every day. It's so very much worth it!

What are you doing with your new found fortune? That was a big factor in keeping me from starting sometime during the last 20 years. Even the 2 a day cigars got to be too expensive a habit to keep up and I have had one in a few years now.

Congratulations. Are you starting to notice the enhanced flavour of your food now that your taste buds are returning? Keep it up, and don't fall into the "just one puff" trap that someone else mentioned on Steve's post.

Actually, I have not had any withdrawals at all. I am one of those people who are constantly trying to quit and feel like scum when I fail. I think I caught my addiction OFF GUARD this time (knock on MDO)and no, I have not tasted a difference in my food either. Food always tastes good but, nothing is enhanced as of yet. I really want to notice a difference in my breathing pattern....when will that happen??? One day at a time I guess.

that will come in time....before i quit smokin...i was so bad i would lay down and i sounded like a woopie cushion....when i breathed. i got into the habit of eating HALL'S to help me breath then i discovered FISHERMANS FRIEND pure menthol...makes your eyeballs breath....hahahahahha took about 6 mos to feel the diff in the airways, but the best thing i did was started takin TAI CHI...now this IS something that if its taught right you will increase your lung capacity and your breathing will never be like it was....

Cigarettes first... Next ...Weight....If you stop smoking..you will gain weight...It you smoke and you are fat and you quit...you will get fatter...but if you continue to not smoke.....you wil get healthier...pretty soon...common sense will again take over the urge to self mutilate yourself.... All you are going thru is well worth the effort... Do not feel you are alone... Hey...you asked,yes?

Congratulations Corey! I haven't been successful and yes, I do feel lower than whale poop. Looks like I lost Round One, but I have no intention of giving up.

Steve: Every time I lost the battle I had to remember the best advice I ever got on the subject: "The more often you try quitting, the more likely it is you will be successful, every attempt brings you closer to making it. The only failure is in quitting to try"
In looking back, when I did not beat myself up over failing I made a new attempt much sooner.
You might want to write down while you still remember which stresses got you, and prepare about how to handle those the next time.
With you in spirit and the memory of how much I thought it couldn't be done, and I proved myself wrong. You, also, can do it. Maybe next time.
