Hi Heads,

I'm trying to make this curl:

I must be making this harder than it is, but I don't seem to be able to get it right!
Any Designers know how to knock this out quickly and smoothly?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi Dave,
When I need to make a dingbat like yours is I start by making a good clean pencil sketch to which I apply an overlay of Rubylith and then cut with an E-Acto knife. Scan and clean it up a little. Making this stuff by computer alone just doesn't work for me, it always looks to mechanical.

Yo, Davey......I have a weird way of doing this one. I'm pretty true with film bending, so I take a length of 1/8" vinyl film and turn the spiral on a piece of 2mm Sintra (for rigidity), scan it in and add the center flare last with the gerber plotter. Gives you an exact width the whole way. :^)

Is this a little closer Dave? I drew and digitized a line in SignLab and then outlined it. Added a circle, welded 'em and then cleaned up. I'll send you an EPS if you want.

Hi Guys!

Thanks for the replies.

Lee Hulick called me to ask me why I just didn't use the SPIRAL feature in Corel Draw?

"Because I didn't know they had a SPIRAL drawing feature in Corel Draw!"
was my reply! hahhahahahh

Well its there and its easy! So after getting what I needed in Corel, I exported as an .eps file into Omega and finished my
ornamental pattern ( upcoming Cathedral job )

BINGO....

Thanks again, and I hope this helps everyone who needs to use it sometime!
