Can anyone with large format inkjet experience out there give me some pointers on pricing posters, banners, printed vinyl, etc. I know how to make a profit based on costs, but I haven't a clue on "going rate" prices. The only one doing any large format printing at all in my town was KINKO's, and they just folded (It's probably insensitive of me, but I LOVE it when a "chain" outlet goes belly-up). I realize that different geographical areas use different pricing structures. I just need to know some general idea on prices, so I won't be too high OR too low! I would appreciate any "legit" numbers, and not a whole lot of "theory". But, I'm the beggar, so I'll take whatever help I can get!

in response to your question of large format printing prices, charge 50 cents a square foot....
seriously, we were in the same boat when we got our printer. tell you what we did... took the prices in the gregory catologue and added 50% to the prices. not the most scientific way to price things but we had been using those prices all along when we farmed all of that out anyways.
hope this helps. have a great one!
