I have a customer that is replacing the Isle signs in his grocery store. They change location of inventory from one isle to another, so they want to be able to change the items when necessary. The sign itself is wood. The previous tracks were plastic and they would slide cardboard in and out. More durability wanted. What he was thinking of is a sign used in a physicians office when you slide in another Doc's name. Is that possible? Any suggestion on products and where to purchase. Thanks in advance for any and all help. WiscVol

You'll have to look it up, but "Slatz" Corporation sells what you're describing.

try using the track available from a trophy supply house. it come 2" wide and accepts an .060 styrene panel. we just used it for redoing all the name plates for a sports team's practice and gameday locker rooms.
i can't remember the name of the supplier. sheesh... suffering from c.r.s. syndrome today...
aisle signs that need to be changed often wouldn't be a very good choice for a slatz system. slatz makes great looking signs but, in this case, i think the priceiness will scare off the grocery guy.
if you call me at the shop, i will give you the name of the supplier. comes in 3' lengths and is u.p.s.-able.
have a great one!
