I'm looking for a manufacturer of 1 ounce airbrush type, clear, round glass bottles with a plastic cap. I need at least a few hundred, so airbrush suppliers are out of the question and cannot fill my order without taking me to the cleaners.

Anyone here know of a manufacturer that makes this specific glass bottle?
I've done everything I know of to find these, outside of contacting Badger who has them but cannot give me a price by the gross or container or anything other then maybe a dozen.......

Yo Joey....If your looking for what I think you are, it's called a 1 oz. straight sided jar. If you are just looking for the the jar with a cap with no syphon tube in the cap, those are all over the place. You just have to find the ones with the right size thread so they are interchangeable with the syphon tube caps that come on the airbrush bottles. Try looking at
http://www.netbottle.com/PlasticCntnr.html
http://www.yankeecontainers.com
And if yer really serious, these guys sell 'em by the pallet.
http://www.calglass-pcc.com/catalog/food/straight-sided/1oz_1_straight-sided.htm

Just as a sidebar, if you find the little tropicana orange juice bottles that have metal lids (not pull of plastic) they match up with Paasche lid threads so you can have an 8 ounce airbrush bottle. Biggest they make for an airbrush is 3 oz. You just have to extend the tube with some rubber hose. You'd be surprized how long it takes to use up an 8 oz bottle.

Thank you J.T.

I am actually happy someone answered so quickly. I've been looking for these for many a moon. I don't use them for airbrushing but only to store small amounts of my formulated paint into. Being a pinstriper its real hard for me to keep anymore then 1 ounce of any one color in my kit when I have so many colors in which to choose from. I even considered 1/2 ounce jars but these were even harder to find.

Thank you again for your quick response, JM

Joey,I think I'd chat with the pharmacist. They have access to bottles and view them as disposible containers, not items of value

I hate to bum you out Rick but if you were to look for these bottles at a pharmacy and just by chance took what they offered you, your nightmare will have just begun.

I'm for recycling as much as the next guy but for work materials and tools I prefer a more professional manner.

Just wondering what kind of homes do enviromentalists live in, ya think their made of wood?

Joey,

You might want to check out Consolidated Plastics.

I know they have glass jars and bottle, but not sure if they have 1oz'ers. If they dont have the bottles you are looking for, I bet they at least have something you could use somehow in your business.. they have so much stuff!

I haven't looked around all of these sites to see if they have exactly what you're looking for; I hope these links help.

http://www.essentialsupplies.com/index.htm

http://www.netbottle.com

http://www.specialtybottle.com

http://www.packagingbusiness.com/results2.asp?control=2&table=Glass

http://www.lemelange.com/glass_bottle.htm

http://www.glassnow.com/index.html

http://www.robertscontainer.com

I found these by going to google.com and putting "glass bottles" in the search box.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone!

Actually I've gotten it all together because of J.T. and his quick response.

GLASS is what was needed not Plastic but thank you and thank you David for your offer..

I have plastic, around 900 containers in 2, 3 and 4 ounce units but because they are plastic they are not very stable and do not take paints as well as I expected unless of course I were to go through paint as quick as I go through brushes. They are however great for catalysts and ChromaFlo especially using my patented "thumb screw" which also works great on cans.

What I need them for is so I can keep a maximum of formulated paint in my kit and in storage without loss of anykind. I have about 100 colors which most is used on a daily basis. Cans or plastic just takes too much space and most times I over-mix on site. I do dealerships and have specific formulars for the colors I use where-as I may have six different browns and so on. Storage in 1 ounce glass bottles and a good lengthy screw cap can save much time and money in the long run when doing this kind of work. For me not all the new technology works as well as old school and believe me I experiment more then most.

Thank you again, JM

Joey,
Try the Scientific supply houses. They offer lots of 1000 if needed. I have some 6 ounce square bottles, about 1.25" square x 3.5" tall, available in cases of 48. They should fit well into a paint kit. Fisher Scientific.

okay, i want to know....since santo's post put a bug in my ear how come paint bottles are round and not square? they could have curved square edges. they would fit much better in my square paintbox.

i wanted to input here (not useful, i'm sure) but, here in bc, vancouver and the island anyway, they have stores with names like "imagination market" "creation station" and "urban source".

they sell recycled goods from large manufacturers, so it's all new, but, it's their garbage. they have some of the most interesting, useful and weird items. bins and bins of you never know what.

plastic film canisters. tons of paper of all kinds. wood doo hickeys. frames. boxes, sequins, key chains, etc, etc. anything..overruns, spelling errors, just don't need them. all kinds of leftovers for all kinds of reasons. a kids' heaven, too!!

if i wanted 1 oz glass bottles, i would call there first thing. and CHEAP, alot of the items, you fill a brown paper bag with whatever you want. $4 small to $15 for a large grocery bag.

i can get alot in a large grocery bag

if you have these wonderful stores in your city, check them out.

(do you think i like 'em too much )
