Make vinyl that would stick to the substrate as well as it sticks to itself or to your fingers ?????? And why don't they make Welfare Checks as hard to get as a Sign Permit ??????????

Did I ever tell you about the time I went for a sign permit for my 7000 sq.ft. building.
I wound up painting the entire building Black and White like a Zebra and making Zebra business cards because the committee was against the colors I picked for my signage even though I had print-outs in many color combos. They turned me down so I gave them food for thought.......

Yo! Pauly! I've ruined at least four welfare checks by vinyl sticking to them. I agree with you completely!

Arvil, why do you think I make Rapid Tac "application fluid" yesterday I was 10 ft. up on scaffolding applying 98"x24" names and logos(each side of 65ft. catamaran) The wind was gusting 15 to 20 knots(even though it was almost 90 degrees(Hawaii).
No problems, I'm happy to report. And when my wife has time I 'll get her to post photos.
Roger P.S. Joey, it wasn't the colors they didn't like! it was that N.Y.attitude ! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Roger, I was refering to when you are weeding and the vinyl breaks and sticks to itself, or when the tiny little pieces sticks to your fingers, it is usually when you have all of your fingers coated with small pieces, that the vinyl breaks and sticks to itself...... and then it is #$%#&*** @#$%^#$ time...

Oh, ok, thats why I invented the "automatic weeder". I Didn't market it and someone else picked up on my idea(wonder who)but they built it well, unfortunitly they had the wireing backwards for the drive motor. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha,goes to show ya, crime does not pay !!

Arvil LOL! I know what you mean. I am a fast weeder and have my own system (as do all) I start with the right hand, then pull real fast with the left as you are winding it around the left hand so it doesn't stick to the other letters. Well the winding gets me in a bind. I usually really get stuck. then the phone rings....and when I am running to the phone, I trip over something. By the time I get to the phone it has stopped ringing. This is when I have to cut the vinyl off, and go jump on the trampoline. Break time!

Know what you mean about those "sticky situations"! I often wish I had three hands while weeding. My neice told me about a lady she met at the race track who did vinyl for the cars on site. She had lost an arm. I am curious to meet her and watch her work. I suspect she could give us all a few pointers when it comes to handling the vinyl. Or at least make us thankful that we have two hands to get stuck together!
