Unless you have a huge project to coat, stick with quarts. A gallon can is VERY difficult to control and keep the Pelucid fresh. We do huge carved murals, but we still stock quarts only. If you think you need a gallon, buy 4 quarts. It can be an expensive, unnecessary lesson.

This might be old info for some, but when you open a paint can.............ANY paint can, you need to take a sharp, medium sized screw driver and , using a hammer, hold it at a 60 degree angle down in the lid channel on the can and tap through three slots on one side of the can. This allows the paint trapped in the cahnnel after pouring to bleed back into the can, keeping the channel clean. Always pour from that side. Do it this way and you won't be bonding the lid into the channel. This is VERY important with POR15 and Pelucid....and a whole lot easir than trying to clean out the channel with paper towels or rags.

i tried ta tip it over to pour into a Campbell's soup can and.... what a MESS! it stuck to the concrete and i had to get one of my customers, IDS Concrete Cutters to come over with one of their wire saws !

Instead of opening the can with the lid why not punch a nail hole in the lid through which you can squirt out as much pelucid as you need into another container and then seal the hole with a screw and rubber or soft plastic washer. Works for me. If I'm not mistaken there are special thumbscrews available especially for this reason from somewhere.

Marty, you can't squeeze a Pelucid can, and if you're loading spraygun pot, it would flow too slowly. The key to keeping a can fresh and fluid is to open it, pierce the channel, pour what you're going to use into the pot or can for brushing, then seal it. Immediately. We have a couple of cans going all the time. We haven't lost one yet. I still am amazed at how much we've shipped just from the article Jerry did in SignBuilder magazine. One little mention from Jerry and it really took off. Great return orders too, but we knew that once a shop tried it they'd be reordering.
We're bringing in a bunch of the little 1/2 pint cans next order.

Any chance that some of those 1/2 pint cans might make it to the Duck Soup meet at the King's? I'd like to see the stuff in action!

What I'll probably do is ship a quart to Pat and ship some of the mini cans to you, Pat. I'm sure he'll get it down pat, Pat.
