Yes I'm a newbie, but what's the deal with perferated vs non-perferated vinyl? Is perferated also refered the as punched vinyl? When should you use perf? Thanks for any help.

Hi, Michelle. Welcome aboard! Per and punched are the same . Perf is for a sprocket feed plotter and non-perf is for friction feed plotters. I have both. The old sprocket plotter is slow but steady and exact. The frictions are very fast and only track straight for so many feet.

Thanks Pierre, I was confused! I thought it had little slits in it to eliminate air bubbles or something! Thanks for lending me your brain. My cutter is friction fed and it's the only cutter I've ever seen! Thanks Again

Punched is kinda like the old tractor feed dot matrix printers. Remember those....zzzzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzz A friction feed is sorta like the old typewriters wit the pinch rollers.
