We are having problems with cutting long lengths on our plotter. We are using Casmate/Inspire and a Graphtec plotter. I can cut about 6' and it will stop. Is something not set right, or is this just as far as it will cut? I remember someone posting about this before, i did a search but found nothing. Thanks for any replies, Brad

Brad what model plotter do you have? That isn't normal, I have a 4100-75 and my plotter will cut as long as it will stay on track. It sounds like it could be a spooler problem, but a quick call to Graphtec should solve the problem.
I would start there and then try Casmate.

Brad... What model do you have? You need to find a page in the menu which says AREA PARAMETERS. Choose that, then select PAGE LENGTH. The value is probably 0.0078, or 78 inches. Use the HORIZ arrow to move the cursor to the left, use the UP-DN arrows to change the value. Push ENTER (the bent arrow) to tell the machine what you did. Call me if you have trouble with these instructions. hk 707 746 7172

I've had similar problems with long lenghts on my Encad NovaCut. Thats a Graphtec plotter basically as I understand it. When I go over 10 Ft or so I usually will break the piece up, since the plotter may stop at times. I am using Flexi SignPro 5.8 and setting my length and width inside the production manager.
