Camm1 pnc1000 will start to cut, then goes jutting off in X direction, then off in Y direction, then back to normal for a couple seconds, then wierd again. Thanks.

If the up-down limit switch is not solidly set, you will get a jumpy motion that doesn't make sense. Jiggle the lever while the machine is cutting and see if it gets better or worse. We've had ours 11 years and thatis the only part that has ever failed. Vic G

Sunny...I never had that happen to me with my PNC1000 so I can't offer a specific answer..Vic's thought sounds like a good possibility.

But what software are you using to drive the cutter?

Is this a problem that just started happening after you have been using the cutter with the same software for a long time or is the cutter and/or software new to you and you have no previous point of reference?

There are many of us who have experience with Rolands and have probably, collectively, experienced virtually every possible problem that can occur. More information will help pinpoint the possible problem.

By the way...It would be nice if you created a "signature file" so we know who you are. It is easy to do...just click on "profile" at the top right of the BullBoard page and fill in the blanks!

sounds like a program problem, how are you hooked up comm port or printer port...what program are you usein when this happens..and did this plotter cut ok then just screwed up....lot of variables..mine will do like stuff..if the plotter que is not cleared from some other spooled work...if i shut it off to reset alignment or stop the the program in middle of its working to plotter..
