I've been out of touch lately, as many of you know my seasonal work has begun.
Our trip to Arizona was beautiful and rewarding in every way but financially.
Since our return I've been diving into learning how to use my plotter and airbrush the vinyl. The new signs and designs have business going better than ever before!
The best news of all... Sofia and I are going to be parents. Sofia got an ultrasound today and the little 7 week 4 day along being has a little heartbeat and everything. We are so grateful for all the blessings we have gotten and cannot wait to introduce our little one to all of our talented friends! Many of you here on the BB are inpirations to us when it comes to the art of parenting!
Anyways...just wanted to catch you all up and share the good news. I am as always most grateful to be able to share with all of you!

Congratulations!!! Now for a word of "Maw Maw" advice: Start talking to the little one now. Share your love for one another with your child so that he or she will grow up feeling secure. Thank God for entrusting you with this wonderful little life.

Just remember, now is the time to start educating your baby, even while he/she is in the womb. So get out that book, Mastering Layout: The Art of Eye Appeal, and start reading out loud to it. Just don't use it for a bedtime story. The baby will never get to sleep!

Congratulations, how exciting! I think we all get too much conflicting advice from everyone, sometimes when the baby is born.. but your true instincts are the best! I know when it came to comforting baby and Mom and Dad, sweet music and holding each other closely is better than anything in the world. With rocking and singing lullabies we made it through the rough nights of no sleep! (maybe that is a new concept for "Songpainters" cd?!) God Bless your new baby!

I have enjoyed every moment of being a parent. My advice: "Cherish your children for what they are....not for what you'd like them to be" Talk to them ALWAYS...they will respond in kind.
My brother's daughter recently gave birth to a boy. She was unwed, just a child herself, 15 years old. She realized that she had several options at that time....but in her wisdom, she chose to have the baby and adopt it out. She found a couple that lives here in the northwest. They were unable to have children and have been looking for several years. Well....if you could have seen the joy and love coming from these two people when they first saw the baby...whew...they were both in tears...we all were. we are very proud of her for making this decision, as I am sure the baby will be too. I am also proud of our family for supporting her in this decision...it was hard letting the baby go...but we trust the wisdom of the Universe...
So...enjoy this precious little person...it is a great joy!!

Congratulations Rich and Sofia. Our daughter just had her first(and second) last week. We got 2 little boys, and it brought back a lot of memories of just how much fun it really is.
You will hear a lot of talk about how much trouble is involved, and it does get a little strange at times(they DO NOT come with instruction manuals), but it is really all a lot of fun and exitement.
I think of raising kids as a rollercoaster ride. It doesn't last very long, so you want to enjoy every up and down and curve that comes along. Hang on and enjoy the ride.
