What is your best way to remove the film from
1/8th" acrylic after 3/16th" text has been routed into it. The text centers are the problem. We have many to do.
Thanks
Mike Wilson

I think Grimco (in Mo. 573-437-2115) sells a "vinyl film remover product(chemical).

You might call them, nice folks !

Mike, There is about as many ways to do this as there are folks who have to do it.
You never mentioned if the film was paper or plastic. I assume it's paper or we wouldn't be having this conversation. If you started out with a plastic film, it just pulls off very easily. If you havn't ordered the plex yet. Thats the best way.
If on the other hand the job is already in process and you're stuck with the paper mask you're also stuck with the most tedious job of your life.
Take a 3" core (the cardboard kind that vinyl film is rolled onto)cut to the length of what your plex is and start pealing up the mask at one end onto the core. Then as you come to an inividual letter it's like starting all over at the beginning.. But once you get each letter started onto the core, just keep rolling. Will come up pretty much at ease.
Hope this helps.
Gary H.
