I mainly do vehicle and fleet markings, and have a customer who needs three dimensional signs made. I am going to do the design, and then farm out the work to a place that specializes in wholesale carved signs. I have not worked with HDU before, and wanted to know how to go about finishing, or if it would be worth it to just pay extra and get the sign completely ready to go. I would like to finish it though, as I like to try out aspects of the business I haven't yet dealt with. My guess would be some sort of primer, then One-Shot (this will most likely be green with white text/border) and then clearcoat as a final layer. These signs are small (30" x 30" and approximately 15" x 30"), so I figure it would be good for my first shot. If anyone can give me some advice, I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much.
