Has anyone used the FrogJuice colors from FFN? I was wondering how well they worked. I thought I read somewhere that prepping the vinyl was not needed, just spray it on. Is that true?
And, of course, I was wondering how long they are estimated to last outdoors (with FrogJuice clear as the overcoat)?
Anyone have any experience with these?
Have a great night!

Good question Randy. I have been wondering about the new colors as well.
I have had good luck with the original Frog Juice for clear-coating digital prints as well as gilded metal jobs. I tacks up quick down here so I usually srpay it with an air gun. I have been getting mine from Esoteric Supply in quart cans and a few aerosols.
I also get good results with One-Shot clears when I do vehicle lettering with enamel paints.
I have not tried Pelucid yet, so I can't offer any advice on that.
Different applications require different clears, so be sure and experiment before you do any large projects.
I am still wondering about the Frog Juice colors.
Anybody tried them?

Yeah, I like the clear FrogJuice too, just hadn't tried the colors yet.
Yesterday I emailed one of the crew at FFN about prepping, durability, etc., but so far no response.
If they give me some good info, I'm gonna go ahead and order some to try it. What the heck, there isn't much else in a spray can that works. Might as well try something that was actually made for vinyl.

I bought a few cans at a trade show last year, haven't used them a whole lot. At the show Superfrog would use a heat gun to quickly dry to spray a second color, I used two colors to make a blend this week, sprayed outside in the sun it was dry in 5 minutes and I could then spray the second color. After another 5 minutes I topcoat with clear Frog Juice, it sets up in 15 minutes or so, then weed, mask, and apply. Most of the stuff I've used it on are inside most of the time I've got no idea how long before it fades.
