Hiya Heads, The sh*t has really hit the fan at work & my bosses sold the business. I'm not too concerned about my position, but I want to be ready, just in case...
This link is to my resume, sorta. I'm thinking of printing a few on an Edge & mounting to black pvc. Then I was going to mail them to perspective employers. Any coments would be appreciated. Havin' fun, Checkers

I think you've got a good start. The only thing I might do a little differently is .....
1) Add a shadow to your name 2) Change the font on the secondary copy to something more serious. Dom Casual is just a little too cartoony for the logo and headline styles you used.

I don't know, at first glance, I was worried about the chosen font too, but the more I look at it, I think it looks great! I would possibly change the very top line of copy to maybe microgramma light, but the rest I think I would leave as is. Good choice of colors too, and I like the layout.

I think the casual style looks just fine against your logo. Personally I am tired of Dom, so I would go with comic sans which does not look comic-ey at all when printed in small point sizes - see boblovessigns.com for comic sans. Other alternates are Technical, and some others. Good luck to you! Vic G

Thanks for the replies guys! The look I'm trying to achieve is similar to a casual show card. So I want it to look a little loose while trying to maintain a somewhat professional style(if that makes sense). I'm definitely adding the shadow to my name. Tried comic sans & it just didn't fit well with the current layout & I'm feeling too lazy to revise it. Unfortunately, I don't have microgramma or eurostyle light loaded on this pc. Now comes the fun part ): updating my web site with the rest of my info & a portfolio. Havin' fun, Checkers
BTW,did it take long for the web page take to load?

hey brian, i agree with john. choose a typeface with a thinner stroke for the sub copy.(maybe futura book?)or if ya want to give it a flair try signdna's mike steven's font... "stix dna" http://www.signdna.com
if you are trying to achieve a "showcard look " be generous with "negative space"
reduce the size of the image at least 25 % or more for the web resume.

Hi Brian..whats going on in H-burg? Yours is the third resume I've come across in the last few weeks...two of them were mailed to me...one was from York but I know the person she was working for and he also had an outlet in H-burg...
