Dave Sherby has discovered a potential problem in a 1Shot application. Although we've tested with 1Shot paints some years ago, we don't show ever having used 1Shot red #102L. Dave added 10% hardener to his paint, waited the cure period and began rolling Pelucid over the face, which went from white Alumalite to the red paint. The roller began picking up the red and carried it into the white. There appears to be something different about 102L from other 1Shot paine as concerns Pelucid. Dave was able to remove the red from the white Alumalite so he didn't lose the sign.

We've agreed with Dave that he should hit the surface with uvClear first, then overcoat with Pelucid. He's running a test right now and has agreed to keep us posted today as to the results. We'll relay his info as well as our own test results.

Pierre

102L is a standard Fire Red?

I could understand it if it was a new pearscent colour or some else new on the market..
I would have thought this base colour was tested!
O Well I guess just some oversite.

Nope.....no oversight. We tested 4 colors including red, but obviously not that red. I believe it was a dark red. Dave sherby says no rection at all from the 1Shot blue, just that particular red. Please note that we have NOT tested ALL colors of ALL paints. That would take forever to do. We tested 3 colors each of oil based, water based, alkyd, 1Shot and GripGuard. This is the first color reaction we've seen in our 4 years of use and testing.
