Hey there all,
Been a while since I've been here.
Well, anyway, I've had a lot of people ask me lately if I tint windows. and well, I do, but does anyone know where to get the large professional type rolls of window tint?
I mean $8n for a 6.5 ft roll seems a bit much.

Thanks

I've always tinted my own windows when I was a kid, since cops would make me take them off constantly. [No, they never gave me a ticket (my mom has never been so lucky, though)]. You should be able to get the large 3m rolls through an auto sound center. I remember buying a brand named sun gard & another called sun shade. Maybe they got a website. Good luck.

Hi there!

I was going to post a post asking howmany shops that letter trucks also do window tinting?

We do it now and its a good little bonus to a truck job.

We use Zenith Films, from Johnson Window Tints I believe they are quite big in the US, I buy 100ft rolls 20" 24" & 36" widths. I have an 800 number at home I believe. I will look it up when I get home tonight.

We use a film called Zenith ZSH-06, ZSH 13, 22, 32 and 43, the product number also tells you the amount of light they let in i.e 6% 13% etc these films are guaranteed 10 years against cracking and fading, they all give 99% protection from UV and 58%, 57%, 55%, 53% and 50% sun resistance respectively, or "Avvisad solenergi" for those that understand Swedish!

check out Llumar (www.llumar.com) and Gila (www.gilafilms.com) for distributors.

There's even a non-colored crystal clear film that's actually better than tint film in regards to heat rejection and UV protection... but it doesnt offer the privacy or look of tint.
