I'm considering buying fonts from Sign-DNA. I really need som good script and brush type fonts. Which set do some of you recommend? Or which ones would you buy ala-carte?

I'm not sure what is available ala-carte but these are my favorite of the scripts I have gotten Bean Sprout, Journeyman, Magic, Smoothy and Snappy. There alot of other nice ones also but these seem to be the ones I use the most for that hand lettered look (which I can't do on my own).

I recently purchased 20 fonts from Sign DNA and I mix them all up for some really hot looking signs. My suggestion is to call DNA Dave and tell him your style and let him suggest fonts for you. He is a talented sign maker that loves to share his talent and product by making you a satisfied customer. It is a lost art in most other trades and its merchants like Dave that provide us with the tools to create the magic.

Be prepared to do a fair bit of tweaking with these fonts. Not just the kerning either, some of the letters are dis-proportionate and need to be re-sized or re-shaped individually to get the right look. Some of the fonts I bought just don't ever look right, so choose carefully. My favourite would be Kedzie - a nice casual hand lettered feel that works well as a script - with minimal reworking needed.

Big medicine, magic and the convex fonts but then I've only had them a month or so but they are really perfect in looking like handwritten fonts (which is what they are!!)
thanks dave and all the others who make these fonts happen.

I went to Sign DNA's site after checking out these posts yesterday, as I hadn't seen their fonts before. I ended up getting the set of prismatic fonts as well as 'Nitro' by Jack Wills. I love the prismatic font Rocinante, it's great.
