A friend of mine owns a body shop, and asked me if I could make a stencil for a custom 85 camaro that is being built as a showcar. I am pretty sure the car is going to be a pearlescent white, and with flames coming over the hood. When the flames hit the end of the door, it is going to turn into a checkered flag design. I need to make a stencil for him for the basic shape of the flames and the checks in the checkered flag part, so he can easily airbrush the details in.
Below are some pictures of the car with some pinstriping quickly and roughly thrown on in the approximate design. I would really love someones help with the refinement of the basic waving flag shape, and also possibly a quick sketch of how the chekers would flow. This would be a great help, as I haven't done any custom car graphics like this before.
Anyone who may be able to help me out can post here or email me at exmayors@aol.com or tmalinky@astepabovesigns.com. Thanks!

Tyler, Just as a matter of personal taste, I'd stretch the flames and soften the curve of the flag area. The flame taped over the front tire is the look I prefer. Also would make figuring the checkered flag easier to figure out. Best advice for tha e flag is to doodle it on the car with a stabilo, when it looks right, go for it! Posts some pics back when yer done. Good luck.
