I'm looking for an exterior blank 12 inches x 12 foot x appx. 1/2 inch thick for a sign. It will be held by two bolts on each bottom end to be used atop my awning on the Cortez, I may even use a steel channel to hold from the bottom.

Anyone know of what I may be able to use in this specific size?
Thank you........

Hi Joey. the only 2 possibilities that I can think of that might suite would be opaque plexi attached to an aluminum frame with 3M VHB Tape, or a vinyl banner material wrapped over a frame and laced tight from the backside. Problem is that most substrates arn't available in a seamless length of 12 feet. You could use alumalite with a centre seam at the 6 foot mark. If cut exactly square, the seam could be hidden using a strip of high performance vinyl. I doubt that anyone but the fussiest individual with perfect vision would even notice the camoflaged seam. Again, this could be attached to an aluminum frame using the VHB Tape.

Hope that this gives you some possibilities that may be accepatble.

you got an aluminum place up there? they stock .024 and some have .032 on rolls that are 12" or 18" wide and can cut you off a length any size you want. i would get the 18" x 12'6", have them bend it down to 12"x 12' so as to make it stiffer.....and it will still be lightweight...

I must be really burnt out not to figure this stuff out.
Thank you Ken for your answer, you and Jerry Mathel think alike as he told me the same thing.
But Joe, you gave me an idea, since there are many aluminum boat builders around here I spoke to a friend who builds and he said 'no problem'.......

Thank you both for waking me up............

You might also check with any local seamless raingutter companies. They have it in a couple of different widths and numerous colors.
