Sometimes we get misconceptions on the BB. We think of each other closer than we actually are geographically. A mirage of artists At times we get our feelings hurt. Then you meet in person....and recieve a friend for life. Or you get a phone call....and chat away like old friends. Well I just got a phone call from Joey Madden. I always thought of him as sort of a hard ass. (no offense Joey!) This is the perfect example of a misconception. Joey is wonderful to chat with! A fellow artist with a good heart. It was a great chat Joey. I have a better idea about Joey now. Where he is coming from. {thanks for the call Joey!} Anyways.......just wanted to say mixed in with all the arguements...disagreements...sticking out of the tongues....etc. you really don't know what a person is like until you meet them. Whether it be in person face to face....or on the phone voice to voice. I dont' know about the rest of you.......but I am digging the hell out of meeting my fellow and fellowette Letterheads. This is great fun!

Talk about "interesting", Joey has learned more, experianced more, then most of us would in 2 lifetimes ! The guy is an awsome artist, but more hes a refreshing, sometimes contriversial, and willing to help kind of human being !!
But, if you can't handle the truth(I mean no sugar coating opinions) then you will misunderstand everything about him !! Joey is "the truth, the whole truth, notin but the truth"

Gotta agree with Cheryl and Roger...and...this is a fun and informative place! The only thing that ticks me off is that there are some who's only contibution is negativity! I don't care how much you bicker and argue, as long as you make a positive contibution...even if you are too cheap to become a resident!!!! Come in, have fun, learn, contribute, and quit complaining!

Funny you should mention that. I got a call from Joey too, about two months ago. Completely changed my perception of him. I think he's gonna have to call all 1,253 letterhead posters...............by Monday.

Yepper... I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't come into this place.
I like that there are so many different types of people with all the thoughts and opinions and experiences. So many times I have learned things, or looked at something from a different perspective that I hadn't really considered before.
This is like a big family. And how many families have members that totally agree on everything? Geeez, that would be pretty boring!! Besides, I just either ignore it or blow it off most of the time... or get a good laff when I read the snarky email they send me!!
But you do hafta be REAL careful who you meet and correspond with... lest ya gotta move 1000 miles 'cross country to go and marry the guy...

Thank you for the kind words as I'd rather be appreciated by few, then patronized by many.

I have said it before and I think it is worth repeating. I am a newbee. I stumbled across this bulletin board and fell in love. I feel like something is missing if I don't get on here once a day. I have learned so much from so many people. I have posted questions/problems and had wonderful people help me out. There are things I never imagined doing, but after seeing picts of other's work and reading the threads, I'm just looking for an excuse to tinker around with more stuff.
I am dying to meet everone who has been so helpful, I was so looking forward to the Meet in Little Washington (Pennsylvania) as it's only an hour away. Alas, it was cancelled (big bummer) so I must wait for another meet I can attend. The anticipation is killing me.

Thr first time I corresponded with Hassle Fiasco we sort of got off on the wrong foot - I don't know why, just the difference between e-mail & being there, I guess, but shortly thereafter I met him and I have to say he helped me out a bunch! I hooked him up with a 2nd Cortez, so I hope I've returned a favor. Something is lost by the time we see our words in print. I see a lot of posts by Joey and answers that are anything but positive, and I have to wonder what it's all about. I guess it's that New York accent??
