I have to say that Glenn has been picked on one to many times! I believe in drinking (Water and some of you don't!) I believe in eating (Meats and some of you don't!) I believe in helping someone (And some of you don't!) I believe in a God (And some of you don't!)
I believe in Good Work(And some of you don't)
I believe in a product (And some of you don't)
I believe in quotes (And some of you don't!)
I believe in ETC! ETC! ETC!
I like the work that Glenn has offered on this board. (It is good stuff!) He is allowed his opinion and I think we are allowed (To Each their own) But we are coming to a point of Name calling and (Picture Battering!) This is not fair! Come on people lets get back into the community. I like the discussions but this one is to the point of no return and is pointing one gun at one person for hanging someone on the highest branch of the TREE....

Well.....it is definately entertaining. However I do agree with the picture posting part. That is nasty! I notice some people who 'slam' others seem to be jealous. Just my opinion.

I guess I can respond since my picture got 'recalibrated'.. heh. Presto! Change-o! Ever notice it's the boys who get out of hand? Ever notice that almost all serial killer are men? C'mon guys... either you have to get the females motivated to start being more aggressive or you're gonna hafta start taking ballet lessons. Now what's it gonna be? eh? PS.. I don't have beliefs. LE

I hope you weren't offended by the "recalibrated" picture. Just so you know, the only reason why I used it was because your pic fit properly. It wasn't directed at you personally. By your earlier reaction, I would like to think that you did get a good chuckle. I've always enjoyed debating you. You force a person to use an extra brain cell or two, and there is nothing wrong with that.
To be honest, I did try using Mark J.'s pick, but his face was too long to look right on C.N.'s body. And of course, I would have prefered using Mark F.'s pic, but naturally, there isn't one.
If you were offended, I appologize. And to make it up to you, I'll be glad to attempt to paste your head on Pamela Anderson's or Brittney Spears and post it.
And once more, just for fun..... Cheryl doing the Doobie Dance!!

I can't feel bad for Glen. He started it and kept it going. But it was fun to watch and I am pretty sure that Glenn had a lot of fun with the post that has to be the longest post yet.

Yep, I started the post. It was suppose to be humorous. At least I thought it was, but then again I see humor in a lot of things that many don't. I guess its due to my own warped sense of perspective.
Anyhow, in a debate, there are times when one side or the other is unable to stay on track and find it easier to attack the messenger rather than the message. Even LE has said that the side that does the attacking is the loser because they've got nothing else (correct me on that one Sara if I'm wrong).
There have been times when a few felt it necessary to send me foul-mouthed e-mail and/or call me on the phone, cuss me out and threaten me.
I had thought of starting a post about the teacher who got fired for teaching sex-ed in her bra, but what fun would that be?

I like Glenn Taylor, even typed with him many times on Chat. He seems to be a together and helpful person at most times and does not send nasty emails when a disagreement occurs, not that one ever did. I'm sure if we all got to visit his hometown things would get to go alot smoother.

For once, I'm glad I have a long face. Reminds me of the horse that went into a bar and the bartender asks him...Hey Buddy, why the long face?
Glenn, you can use my picture anytime you want...so long as you don't use it for profit. This is probably your most entertaining topic ever...much better than politics.

Thanks, Mr.Fair, for reminding all of us that you don't care for Glenn's posts. We almost forgot....I know we'll all be comin back tomorrow to get our daily reminder.
Just in case it wasn't obvious, there's hundreds of us that aren't particularly turning cartwheels over those posts, or the type of replies that come from them....but we sure are a happier bunch knowing where Mark Fair sits on the subject. After all, isn't that what we all come to this board for?

Let's face it. We will rarely agree on everything. From time to time, personalities and opinions are going to clash. That's the real World.
When it comes to Letterville, we have rules in place that deal with personal attacks. Debate all you want, but never use this forum in an attempt to embaress or ridicule people that don't see things your way. Treat others in the way you want to be treated. If that won't work, take it outside. The BullBoard is not the place for this type of behavior.
Isn't it weird that these personal conflicts always get so much attention? Why are we all so interested in these "car wreck" type posts instead of sharing the sort of info that unites and benefits everyone? Too much time and other resources are wasted debating topics that nobody can possibly win. It's fun to follow the debate, but when individuals allow it to turn personal, it makes us all feel uncomfortable.
I have a suggestion. On our visits to newer sign shops, I am surprised to see that many don't own or understand the use of a projector. Many don't have a clue what a pattern is. You all know that I am an Old Fart, but I still believe there are many times when it is faster and more economical to blow up a design and paint it than go the computer route.
Is there any chance we could persuade Mark and Glenn to join forces on this topic and start a post that explains using a projector and the creation an use of patterns? What do you say guys?
posted
Glenn, there's almost always half a dozen or so projectors on ebay very reasonable. Just do a search for "artograph".
Just got basically "a fart in the face" from brother Fair in my email. So think i'll try harder to keep outta this stuff. I don't come here for this crap! I tell people how cool Letterheads and Letterville is, and dammit, I hope NONE of them take me up on the invitation, cause it's damn embarrassing some of the stuff that gets posted here.

Glenn Did you read my post about your portrayal of me on the other thread? I believe I made it quite clear I thought it was GREAT! Now if you stuck my head on some BIMBO's bod, THAT might offend me. However you may stick my head on any brilliant historical figure's bod.. including Sacajawea, Thomas Paine, or Steven Hawking.
Actually.. I am NEVER offended by anyone's opinions about my opinions. The ONLY thing that irritates me is when someone purports to explain how I personally think and feel.. ONLY I can do that.. no one else KNOWS how I think and feel. Or what I'm going to say... Other than that... I'ma happy camper about disagreement. So Steve.. is Glenn your secret addictive substance that keeps us returning to the BB over and over and over into the wee wee hours of the night? LE

I hate to offer a defense of a man that needs none. Glenn, you make this place informative and interesting. Glenn has helped me privately on emails concerning purchases and bothersome questions. I really do appreciate all the help. Stephen, good post and especially liked your trucker facts in the travel plans post. Ever since I followed a trucker through unknown terrain at night, I have a great respect for those "knights of the road".

But am a fan of some of the Rock and heavy metal..
The song I loved to play as I stopped at the Scale house at the Nova Scotia border..
I put the rig on the scale platform and get weight in.... The scalemaster would flag myself through, and after pulling of the scales I pop in the CD by OZZY OSBURNE.
And the track I listen to was (Mamma I'm coming home)... Singing as loud as I could to it!
Hoping as I passed small towns and neighbourhoods at 3-4 in the morning that I wasn't waking them up with my off key voice! LOL
