Glen, Thats not all....Oakland now has a mandate for all city employees (fire, police, hospitals ..etc.) to speak either spanish or chinese lanquages as a prerequisite to be hired. Board members felt that a lack of "sensitivity" to these communities made this necessary.

That's a good idea. I could get my sex changed and then apply for all the government jobs as a minority business owner, not to mention preferential treatment if I keep my 'orientation' the same !

E-Gad How do they do the math. Don't you have to have an equal number of subtractions to make additions? Think about that one. Or is someone in the "plastic parts" business? Our Ins comp. doesn't even pay for the monthly pill my wife takes. Who's dummer, Ins. comp. who pay for this or the city who's offering it. I wouldn't want to be in their shoe's when I'm standing in line to get in those pearly gates. Just my .02 cents... Gary H.

Well, it appears that this thread has upset a "former" California Turtle (Pierre knows who I'm talking about). So much so that he felt it necessary to send me an e-mail expressing his dismay and that he looks forward "with great reslish that I read about the next hurricane that comes along to lay waste to your shop. I must say, I certainly enjoyed reading about the last one!."

We're mind-numbed out here and can't be hurt. Hell, we wouldn't even know it if we were. The sex change stuff was all over the news yesterday and as usual...everybody was laughing at us....and for good reason. Anybody care to guess what's coming next from our "GOLDEN" state? Oops...did I just give something away....?
