Here's one for ya. I have a black pair of cheap zip up boots that are black, but I need to get em white. THought about painting them, as there are no white boots anywhere cheap. What would you guys recommend? I thought maybe airbrush textile paint, then clear coating, but afraid it might crack. ANy ideas?

I did this a few years ago with a pair of dark purple shoes - I bought a kit from the shoe repair guy. There were two bottles involved. The first was to "prime" the surface - it took most of the existing colour away. The second was very similar to the whitner used on tennis shoes. It was brushed on and it formed a plastic-like coating. It was pretty good but it didn't last too well. I can't remember the full name...Lady..something.... Sorry I cant be of more help. Maybe a shop that supplies uniforms for hospitals might be able to help with white boots. All depends what you want them for.
