Back at the Volcano,California visit by Steve & Barb Shortreed at Jackie B's house, I also met up with a gent named Victor Georgiou. Well during that rainy afternoon a few skull sessions took place and one of the things I spoke about with Vic, was a desire to set up a router cutting business in which could provide all kinds of neat sign blanks. Well low and behold a couple of weeks after that great dinner at Jackie B's, Vic, calls and says, I have the router... Let's do it! We meet and put a plan together with the idea of marketing wholesale sign blanks of distinctive shape and character and a CD-Rom with the art needed for layout purposes to go along with the sign blanks. Anyway, just go to the website to check out the goods and ease of using the service as designed by Vic, and there will be other stuff to see there as well.
Happy Birthday to us! (Vic & Jack) Thas'it.........................CrazyJack

WOW Jack - and to think it started here, in little ol' podunk Volcano. Looks like some great stuff. I'm so happy to have met both you & Vic. By the way, I can't thank you enough for the Designer's Cafe CD. It's really great stuff and I've used it many a time for inspiration. I highly endorse the CD! Bomba-Dear guess I'm gonna have to make a trip down to visit you & see your new router!

I've got that site bookmarked. As a one person operation, I feel it is not worth the time to cut out shapes when you can purchase them at such reasonable prices. Good luck guys and congratulations on your new endeavor. This is gonna fly!

Dagnabbitt......Why couldn't you guys have started just a few weeks earlier?!
I had to cut 2 sets of blanks that are going to be glued back to back to create a 3" thick panel. Having you guys provide the blanks already cut to shape would have saved me a ton of time (and money).

Hey Ron Percell, What you have to do is..... Click on an item of choice, you will then end up at another page where there is a box, you enter the size (which is how wide the pattern will be) and the price pops up. Kind of like a shopping Kart. We will have other more intricate designs in the future and some dimensional additions as well. Thas'it......................Jack

Cheryl, the material selections in our site are just my best guess at what most shops without routers would want to buy. I figured that anyone doing large wood signs would prefer doing it in house with a sabre saw. If there is a particular shape that you want routed out of redwood or cedar, send us an e-mail and we will see what we can do.
Pierre, I don't have a crisp answer to your advertising question. Obviously we have to advertise. We'll see how it goes at Letterheads and then take it from there.

so i just opened my designer's cafe CD and clicked on animals and lo and behold, there she was, holstein milk cow, great black and white vector art. i cut the shape out in matte black and applied it to a cocoa card stock, then ragged some type with the old brush over the top of it after and POP!,
you have a nice dairy sign for a movie being shot in the 50's and 60's.
