What brushes do we buy for pinstriping as an all purpose brush? We don't want to lay out a bunch of cash on brushes to learn. (yeah we are trying something new again) Any ideas??

Kevin, As a pinstriper of 25 years, I have my own personal preferences for what I like to use for certain types of lines. But for general purposes I will use the MACK sword in sizes 0,00, and 1. The 0 and 00 work great for doing freehand designs and the 1 for straight lines. These will work for most of what you are trying to do. Once you get the hang of it you can start to experiment with other brands and sizes. Happy striping!!!

Mack brushes are by far the most inexpensive brushes and depending on where you but them, they can be had for as low as 5 bucks per brush. Of course there are other companies which have a far better feel but for multi-purpose and selection Mack is the brush of choice. Check out the Mack brush site http://www.mackbrush.com which will show you mostly all brushes Mack makes and a description of what they are used for.......

Thanks for the replies. We sure can get together anytime. My number is 876 1281. When you get a chance give me a shout. I don't know if we can find a coffee shop in Halifax. (Isn't it funny that Tim Horton's coffee shops outnumber confectionaries??) We are over by the Canadiana in Bayers Lake.
