OK are any of you old die hard Journey fans as amazed as I am about the new CD 'Arrival'? We saw them in concert last year with their new front man Steve Agiuara, and were stunned when we heard him. You can't replace Steve Perry, but DAMN this boy is good. If the could clone Steve Perry, I believe, by george, they've done it! it is unreal! At most times, you can't tell the difference, and this @#$% ROCKS. Steve will be missed, but I certainly am glad to see Journey survive. Your thoughts please..........

I am an avid Journey fan, but apparently I have not been paying attention.
I knew Journey was releasing a new CD and I thought "that was brave"... not many of those 70's - 80's bands can make a successful sounding comeback, but Steve?
Did he die? Did his voice crack and break? He didn't pull and David Lee Roth tantrum and go out on his own for this "come back" and get lost?
Inquiring (asleep at the wheel) minds want to know...

Steve was believed to have throat cancer at one time, but i think it was just a romour. They ran a 'behind the music' show on Journey recently on VH1. They interviewed Steve. he apperently needed hip replacement surgery last year before he could tour. For whatever reason, he wouldn't go through with the surgery and it led to a battle between him and the rest of the band. Since Steve was not an original member of the band, Neil and the boys decided to gamble. In hearing the new cd i'd say it paid off! Like I said before, we saw them in concert last year at the Illinois State Fair. Nice cool evening under the stars, light breeze blowin' and not knowing what to expect. We were thrilled halfway into the first song. If you shut your eyes you didn't know any different! Before the last song, the 'new' Steve made a short speach that he new he couldn't fill someone else's shoes (not mentioning any names) and that he hoped that he would be accepted. He got a standing ovation for five solid minutes. nuff' said. later.........
