Little note to Photoshop 6.0 users on Mac platforms... There seems to be a bug in 6.0 that is really deadly on large images, upgrade to 6.02 or downgrade to 4.0 or 5.5... Seems that when working with large images and saving them to disk it corrupts the file. I have lost several images due to this problem, and have gone back to version 4.0 to eliminate the headaches!!! Had a 36x48 poster image (300megs) die on me when I did an open and save... Thank God for daily backups! You know you are in trouble when you open your file and it tells you something like "The file is damaged due to a disk error, please check your cables, etc..." Just a friendly warning! E.

So that's why PS wanted to update itself today! Guess I'll log on and do it. I haven't had any problems yet but I haven't been using very large files either. Thanks for the tip Eric.
