I can see by the number of posts that everyone has avoided looking at funeral pictures for "Big Daddy Roth"...I too was put off with the post but couriousity will out I snuck a peak and man was I glad I did...what a tribute to this man... the guys doing the work are to be comended and it was a tremendous tribute to Ed Roth... courious yet? Please take a look I know you'll be pleasently surprised.

It was nice to see Ed remembered in such a fitting way. Several years ago I met Ed at a Rat Fink Party and had my picture taken with him - what a treat! A group of us were painting trash cans to be auctioned off for charity and he had some nice things to say about my work. He will be long remembered.
Recently a similar thing was done at the funeral of Ben Oldham - John's son who died in a motorcycle accident. Alton Gillespie did some work on the casket and then placed a model Rat Fink inside.
In times of reflection we often wonder how people will remember us after we depart.

i looked. great casket! i want to go that route...but, an urn instead of a casket. i'll probably have to make my own. but, if any of you know me at that time (not too soon, hopefully), i'd be happy to let you do the pinstriping
