I was workin away out in the shop this afternoon, catching up on some stuff. The phone rings and a voice says "Is this Dave?"

"Yep"

"Hi this is TBuk, just calling to wish you a Happy Easter"

I have never met Ted, he just called me up to yack for a couple of minutes and I was honored that he did!

THAT is what makes this little place called "Letterville" special.

THANKS TED! Ya made my day!

I agree Dave...I saw a post here about 4 years ago, from a signman in New Zealand. His name is Norman Biss...he was here for a computer software seminar in Dallas Texas (about 2 1/2 hours south of here.He wanted to visit with an American sign painter and see a real "American" shop. We threw out an invitation and low and behold he shows up at our door step at a time we agreed upon (he had missed his bus and took a Yellow Cab from Dallas to Norman so as not to be late for our meeting. That trip cost him $250.American (thats 500 Kiwi)
Well we had a wonderful 3 day visit at our home and shop and some really good memories and a valued friendship has been added to our lives.Someday we will visit Norm (he's been pressing us to do so)we hope it's soon.
Because of this place we have been to Ireland and made friends with people we would have never even encountered. This site gets credit for these encounters but lets not forget it's the Internet that has given this place a home. The world wide web is a unique and quizical world to say the least and it has certainly changed our lives...after all Dave you and I would have never met in Georgia last year if it were'nt for the web and Steves "Letterhead" site. Kinda neat huh...

Hey Monte,
We are seriously considering a trip to Ireland, partial ancestral home at all that,
plus would like to look up letterheads when we are there. Hope we get to make it.

Dave I know what you mean. When I had computer problems....I received so many calls to help. When the Seattle area had our earthquake....I also received lots of calls making sure everything was ok. I have met fellow Letterheads for coffee...helped them, and they have helped me. I agree! this really is a special place.

My phone number will be gracing TBuk's phone bill this month also Dave.
Unfortunately, I was out of town this weekend and missed his call.

Thank you Ted, Happy Easter to you too!
Or today, perhaps I could be saying ...
"Happy Tax Day" eh?

Ted sounded in good spirits on my answering machine. As soon as he started calling me "Smiley" I knew who it was.

Yes ... this place is certainly one of a kind ... just like TBUK!

Lotsa Heart here!

As far as the monitor, it is replaced. (has anyone heard of a KFC? I can't believe I got a KFC monitor on Easter! I was cooking a turkey...... Thankfully, it was just the monitor! It's the busy season... oh, yes, it is extremely refreshing to hear from a letterhead (and out of the blue!) It just brings me back to earth, sort of speak to hear from "the family"!
Thank you all of Letterville for all your letters and phone calls! You brighten up my day and make it all worth it!
