Arg.... everytime I open a post, I am having to manually refresh each time to read everything.

I just recently dumped all my internet temp files, so I'm hoping I didn't mess things up. Also, little guy Cody loves to come into the puter room and reboot on occasion on his own. You know, the kind where windows scolds you next time for not closing off everything properly first before rebooting.

Not sure if these two things have anything to do with my messed up settings, but they all kinda happened at the same time. Thanks if you can help!

Donna: The temporary internet files is actually your cache.Always keep it empty, even while you are on the internet. Here is a cute gimmick. Make a shortcut of your Temporary Internet Files folder..put it on your desktop. As it fills , when you are on the net, 2 click the folder to open it, press
Ctrl A to select all, then Shift Delete to
clear the files without them going into your trash..then yes to confirm and they are gone.
Clearing your cache is a good habit.

Donna,

My computer was doing the same thing a few monts back, then the problem went away on its own. Evolution? It cant be fixing itself, can it? Oh boy!

Anyway, it is probably time to defrag.

The real reason I wanted to post a reply ( since I dont know how to help your problem)it to tell you how cute Cody is! When do I get him for my baseball team?

Hi Donna......if you use Internet Explore
1. go to tools
2. internet options
3. settings
4. then check mark
Every visit to the page.

Let us know if this solves your problem.

Donna, One thing I would warn against on dumping temporary internet files is on the later versions of IE like 5.0 and 5.1, they use them to store many "cookies", with info that is valuable for passwords and revolving information you use on several sites. I think Barb is correct on the method that will help you best. You can delete all those files except the cookies. These cookies used to have their own folder, but that has changed. I deleted mine, by emptying the folder and was forever re-entering info on passwords on many sites as well as other info. Bronzeo

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Barb, unfortunately, it didn't work for some reason. Perhaps I need to reboot after making the changes in options. The problem only appears to be on this bb. Strange...

If all fails, reboot! I'd better get Cody back in here...
