I would like to know how I can print the remaining two process colors on a print that already has yellow and magenta printed. When doing a job, the yellow and magenta went thru, and when the Edge was rewinding the vinyl got caught under the cover. My roll was too close to the Edge. Learned a lesson here. The job is just decal with four color process printing. I will print a test batch to measure the bullseye spot so I can put it back into the Edge, but how can I print only the Cyan and Black colors? The first two colors are already printed. If they were spot colors it's simple, but how do you change the order of process colors or only print the process color you want, can a separation be done? Thank you. G. Beaulieu

Yes, you can change the order for printing 4-colour process images on the edge, although this is usually only done when printing in reverse on clear, and backing up with white.
Go to the 1-2-3 tab and click on that in your top toolbar. In there you'll find a tab to reverse the order, or change the order for printing. Select the colours you want, in the order you want to print them, and click Ok...and you're ready to go!
Hope this helps you out.

Some days you get to be the dog....other days, you get to be the fire hydrant.
This has happened to us before also. You can reverse order print, which prints the black, then cyan, then magenta, then yellow.
Your print starts where the clamp comes down to hold the vinyl in, on the inside of the right side. I use to make a mark with an ink pen on the vinyl using the clamp bar as my reference point. The middle of the vinyl clamp is an open rectangle and I would make a mark along the right (inside) side of the clamp. Easy to do, hard to explain!

It sounds like the other people giving you the answer don't know about the feature, so I'll give you "THE ANSWER"!
First you must line up your vinyl in exactly the same start position as the first time. If you have an EdgeII, you should get in the habit of letting the Edge set the "Home" position. That lines the extra sprocket up at the top of the roller position. From there, you can always put the vinyl into the machine in exactly the correct position. If you don't have an EdgeII, you probably have figured out a way to reposition your vinyl. This feature alone is worth the upgrade! (note, I am not getting paid by Gerber!!!!!!) When doing a multiple repeat, or extremely long job, I ALWAYS set the Home position. Tip: I put a magic marker line on the aluminum ring at the correct Home set of sprocket holes. When you push the Home command on the console, it will rotate the drum counterclockwise until it gets to that exact position. Having the mark can save you a little time since you can slew it around till it is almost to the home position prior to pushing the button. Then put in your vinyl at the first convenient multi-holed sprocket position, allowing enough lead out vinyl to not clog in the plotter.
Second, (THE ANSWER) there is a feature already in the software to do exactly what you need to do. In Plot, go to Setup and then Select Colors. When in that menu, just turn off the colors you don't want to print...in this case the yellow and magenta. You don't have to trick the software because the specific feature you need is already there.

I sent my Edge1 off for a printhead head refit and it came back a week later (great service) and they also put a new control panel in the unit.
That "Home" key is something I never had before and there was no explanation about it when I unpacked the box. In fact there are a lot of things different with this unit...its kind of like they sent me back somebody else's Edge.....and it works so good, runs so quiet, foil trays load easy(never use to)....I'm not gonna give it back!
Thanks for that tip about the "Home" key.
