I want to change all of my .dwg files to ready to print .plt files. Problem is, I cannot figure out how to import them. Evertime I try I get invalid file format or it will try to open and ask to substitute a font. When I say OK to that I get a big pile of garbage all over the screen!

Anyone have any suggestions? Comments?

I believe all of the .dwg files were created using a DOS version of Generic CAD (I didn't create them!)

Amy,

It might be possible that it can't be done directly....but if Corel Draw can open a .dwg file you can then get that file into Omega....

Try a third party software that has import/export filters that omega will read & can import dwg files such as Coreldraw.Often as not some of the odd import filters & export filters are part of a custom install so you might have to read up on this procedure some.
hope this helps ya,....

I don't have omega, but I have graphic advantage and an edge.
I import dwg files into corel, convert
to cmx and then import into GA
it will probably work in omega too, only thing if your dwg files were text files
it may change the font to the default
text in corel. And be sure everything is converted to curves, or graphics(no Text)
when you export to Omega
