i have a piece of 1/2 inch MDO and a tube of silicone/acryllic caulk - what's the best way to smear one on the other, and do i sand the corners/edges first or second?
(i tried putting down a bead and smearing with my finger, but i thought there must be a more professional way).
yeah, this is a beginner question. i know that this has been covered before, so maybe somebody can just point me to an article or a saved message thread?

Hey Scooter as a beginner you should learn to use products of tomorrow, today as MDO is on the way out.........
It takes longer to prep MDO for use for signage then it costs for Alumilite or PVC and in the long run you are spending more time to produce a sign that will not last as long. Unless of course your time isn't worth anything..........

as for using MDO, i chose it cuz its cheaper than the others, and right now i have more time than money. i hope that will change soon. also, since i'm using it for a sandwich board (A-frame sign) i thought the extra weigh would be an advantage (to keep it from blowing around in our windy city).
how would you use one of those fancy 21st Century products to make a sandwich board?
