This must be my fourth or fifth redesign of my web site that I'm sharing here.

I decided to tear my old site down and do it over. It was getting to the point where I was embarassed to have clients look at my old site! So I built a newer, more modern-looking site that is a liitle more geared towards tradtional advertising and web work, which is more of the direction I seem to be taking these days, anyway. So its probably a little more corporate than you folks are used to seeing coming from me.

Its sorta graphic intensive, and probably a tad on the slow side to load. But alas, I'm pretty happy with it at the moment. Who knows though, in two or three months I'll be ready to tear it down again.

All told, the site probably took about 40 hours to build. The design layout was done in Fireworks, and the programming and page layout was done in Macromedia Dreamweaver. The site is designed for 800 pixels wide, too.

Still toying with the idea of a flash intro, but I'll need Mark Fair for that since I don't know how to work that darn program!

The link is under my signature.

Slick site Dan. A good representation of your capabilities. Loading wasn't bad at all. I've seen alot of sites much slower. Excellent work.

Dan,

As in my letter, the grand entrance is certainly impressive off the bat! The colors inviting too. Especially that vertical bar... ties it all together..

Dan,

Now that web site has class.

------now what bothers me....

You make a claim in your open mission statement that raised my eyebrows. It sounded pretty braizen at first reading.
It didn't sound so bad the next time I read it, but the point is it stoped me cold. That's not good. I got hung up and couldn't read on.

It made me ask the the question: "how does he know "No Other Company"...yada yada yada?

I'm probably sounding very rude here instead
of my real intent of just making an observation, and you welcomed some comment and thats all this is: a comment.

I'm just telling you the first gut reaction I had when I read the text. Red flags went up. If I was checking out a non-sign site that made that claim, I would have clicked out.

You may very well be the ONLY one offering EVERYthing, but that is not how the text should be written to convience your reader, your prospective client. He just might go "fishing" to see if you are what you claim. Some of your clients need Television and Raido Marketing also, and the site doesn't mention that type of service marketing ...thus you really don't offer all
marketng programs. I'm sure a Yahoo search would turn up in a matter of seconds proof there are others out their offering it all.

Instead of trying to convience your reader you're the "only" one, change it to something like, you "offer so many services under one roof the convience saves clients both time and money." ( editing one's own copy is more difficult than cutting one's own hair )

Have some others read it and see if this line gives them some trouble. When several people give their views, you'll be able to tell if its a minor point or not.

As far as site design...you nailed it! Its Great. No contest. Just the design alone speaks for itself. I also found that it loaded very quiclky and I do not have a DLS, or is it "LSD" connection!

Good point Dave.

I'm not particulary fond of that line either. It was a leftover from my old site. I'm going to rework that intro a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. Damn, I hate copywriting. Its much more fun TO DESIGN!

What I'd really like to say is "Don't read anything on this site, just look at the pretty pictures and graphics!!"

Thanks for all who posted!
