Copper did not use to be so pure as it is these days Il "older" times ( 20 years ago) copper was always mixed with other metals Todays fine producing line are able to make purer copper so it dont oxidize that fast Taht may be what they ment
Here there is a problem to get copper to look old, when one is changing old church roofs and such. It simply stays red, wont go green, unless they treat it.
Or maybe they want it clear powdercoated
