My kids enjoy pesto sandwiches for school lunches. Add some spinach leaves and tomatoe slices and sometimes some slices of cucumber to thicken up the sandwiches.

Hey that stuff is good! I am on my way to the store for some nuts, I have all the rest. Even my homegrown garlic. Ready to plant some more in peat pots now. About a hundred cloves now... can't be skimpy... I love Italian... try this one... 3 boxes of bagel bites, melt real butter and garlic, oregano and basil together microwave,
then, take out and let solidify, then spread it on the bagel add a slice of Italian tomato top with real grated parmesan(from the hunk) and some real romano cheese (also grated yourself) return to the oven just long enough to melt and crisp (great for parties, and anytime, but they won't last long!) well, I'm off looking for some nuts! Can someone tell me what pine nuts are and is it something you find at a health food store? I looked at the grocery and could not find them. And everyone I have asked here so far does not know what I am talking about. Thanks.

Also known as 'pignolies' and pinons...they are the seeds from a certain veriety of pine tree. They are oily and have a delightful sweet, slight pine flavor. Lightly toasted they are wonderful sprinkled on salads and in pasta dishes. You can find them in most markets in California, but I don't know about other areas. They have them at Costco, but in big bags and if you don't care for them, that's a lot to waste. They're not cheap either. http://www.pinenuts.net/ You could substitute blanched almonds or walnuts. A
