After much teeth-gnashing and hair-pulling (maybe this is why I'm bald, eh?), I have put together a website of my work. Being a near-luddite, I had most of the work done by someone who knew what they were doing--Alice McCombs at EarthWINS web services <www.earthwins.com>.Alice also registered my site with many internet search engines, but suggested that I write up a press release as well. My question, then, is, what do I say in this release, who should it be sent to (it's not ALL sign stuff),and do I snailmail it, &/or email it or what??!! For what it's worth, here's the address;<www.artfirststudio.com> check it out, feedback is what letterheads is all about, aina?
Bill Krupinski, formerly the Sign Wizard, now ArtFirst Studio, outta my house (& head) in Jefferson, WI.
PS--I wonder just how many "Sign Wizards" there are out there--any ideas?

Hi Bill, say great stuff there on you site. I wanted to know which Milwaukee Panel Jam logo was "official". Someone else here was asking about the Event logo as well. Good to see you posting here.

Press release: "Who, what, where, when, why, and how?"
Start with the basics in the first paragraph, then go into detail about something you like best about your business in the next, and then about something you like second best in the next, and so on... Editors tend to chop from the bottom up on stories so get in the good stuff in the top! Use your catchy phrase talent to "hook 'em in" on your story.
Send it to ALL the local papers. they often have a section in the paper just for announcing new businesses. Translation... FREE advertising!
Snail mail it, e-mail it, fax it... whatever they have use it. Attach a photo of you and your logo... it just might be included! ...and with art so the eye does follow!
The up too late side of the Moon -4:30am? Yep, time for bed!
P.S. I come from the Bronowski line... Bronzewicki? Brownowski, NO! Bro-Now-Ski They hammer the Polish name don't they? LOL

Hey,Y'all! This is so cool, this is my first experience posting something on the bullboard. It's like having a big, raucous, but friendly, family! Thanx for the input so far, gang. I wrote up a press release using guidelines from The Moon(!)--and yeah, us pollacks sure take a beatin' in the name-pronunciation department! Anyway thanx , I'll try to put what I wrote into this machine here somehow--I just jam the paper into that little slot on that "tower" deal, right? As far as that Panel Jam logo goes, Rich, well, there's plenty of confusion to go around on that situation! I removed myself from the steering committee after I drew up all that artwork--you could say there were/are "creative differences" (as they say in Hollywood) about how to put together the whole project. Last I heard, and I have to get this info 2nd or 3rd hand now, was that the T-shirt art would be the logo with the pig on the bike hoisting the sign kit and the wavy, sike-o-delic lettering under it. Don't know which logo will be the "official" one for the event, tho, The pin-stripe one on the flier with the confusing map or my paint pig. Contact Tim @ N. Glantz in Milwaukee for clarification--look on the up-coming events listing for a contact number. Crazy Jack--thanx for the rave review, a guy needs to hear good stuff once in a while! OK, here's my stab at a press release; No graphic art project can start until you have art first. With his new web site, www.artfirststudio.com, artist Wm. J. Krupinski gives you plenty of reasons to use his art, first. The lively, hand-drawn illustration cartoons, and graphic design draw you into a world of warmth & humor, alive with color, juxtapozed by stark black & white images of stark social commentary. A range of materials are used in a variety of special projects, while most of his work is done with watercolors and pen & ink. Working from his home studio near Jefferson, Wis., Mr. Krupinski offers additional skills for hire in childrens illustration, editorial cartooning & illustration, brand-imaging, custom letter fonts, and Blurb-Crafting, another original idea of Bill's. Check out the site at www.artfisrtstudio.com or contact Bill at 920-674-6282 or email him at info@artfirststudio.com
That's it sport! Watcha think?
