Ida, I think the Corps of Eng. is just as complicated as any branch of the government! The few jobs I have done for the Corps of Eng. I was provided a spec sheet for that particular job. There is not a "standard" list of instructions for all signs. If you are bidding on a project, contact the person placing the RFQ to get a spec sheet. I do a lot of work for the Navy here locally plus the Corps of Engineers and the GA DOT and each job is speced out individually. Be forewarned: Some payments may take as long as 2 months!! John, you were lucky. My one and only job for the Army Corps of Engineers took me 140 days to get paid. You are also correct that each job has its very own set of specs, right down to the size and grade of fasteners and the depth of the postholes.

The SBA has a site that lists potential jobs of this nature(government). I'm told that the payment for the initial job takes forever, but subsequent jobs pay quicker, due to your presence in the system is already established.
