Dave..Thanks for the info. I was able to see all the pics by retyping the links. Looks pretty simple and at the risk of being flamed for saying so, I think I am gonna have to build one for myself.
I know, I know, I should buy a Weber applicator but, Hey!, I like tinkering around building stuff too!
Actually, I steamroller most of the time because I use 4 different widths of vinyl and 4 different widths of tape and it is easier to just grab the appropriate roll of tape instead of having to "load" it onto a dispenser. BUT there are times when I am doing multiple copies of the same graphics and this would come in handy for longer graphics.

Dave, I'm like Dave Grundy. I enjoy building contraptions too. At our shop I've built a glue application machine, a sand sifting machine for my sandblasting, and my own multiple-wired woodgrain simulating device (Grain Fraim) and my dust collector is made from a blower off an old combine.
Gonna hafta make one of them too.
Hey, I like it.

oooops.......sorry. I did that one in front page express and didn't even look at the html code to check it. I have corrected the code and uploaded it to the server but I keep getting the old one on my puter. I'm getting real aggrivated at the moment. I've deleted the old file off of the server and sent the corrected one to it and tried refreshing my browser and even using netscape instead but when I view source it is still the old one. argggghhhhh!!!!!!! oh well I'll keep working on it. In the mean time.....sorry for the incovenience.

The one I posted photo's of last week has no moving parts and youcan slide the rolls on and off without taking anything apart. It'seal simple to change rolls, and to align the rolls where you want them.

Thanks Dave , I'm always looking for well designed home made tools ...this looks like a winner.
I have a "paper taper" I made ,one day soon I'll take a pic and send it out on the bb...they cost about $140.00 at the paint store I build mine for about 5 bucks and I've been using it for 15 years now.

used to work in a steel mill...and i was a laborer..used to talk to the boss of the millwrights(sorta like they do all the mechanical repairs when us laborers break stuff)told me how he got most of the guys on his crew: he said he told the labor suprintendant..."when you got a lazy man who wont move fast enough for ya...send him to me". then he futher explained it this way....the lazy man is a thinker, always lookin for the easiest way to do a job with the least amount of effort....and these people make the best millwrights....cause they will find the quickest and easiest way to get a job done..rather then "just get it done".... i didnt tranfer.. i just got outa there......
