I've seen a program advertized called Kai's Vector Effects. I think it's a plug-in for Illustrator. In the ad it looks like it does some pretty cool stuff. Probably mainly for printing rather than vinyl cutting. Does anyone use it? What do you think?

chuck, you didn't say, but i assume you use illustrator by the question. vector effects does alot of cool stuff that is helpful for setting up art for cutting. the only feature that doesn't relate to cutting vinyl is the 3D effects, which is similar to adobe dimensions proggy. the feature i use the most is warp frame, which allows you to manipulate vectors, including type, to conform to a shape, like to fit into a arched sign format. i can design without vector effects plug in, but would rather have it there if i have a choice

I design primarily in GA, now Omega, and use CorelDraw and Illustrator when I need to, so I probably don't need it. I just looked at it again, it's on the Metacreations website. The emboss tool is the one that looks interesting. It looks like it does an effect like the ones you can do on type in Photoshop, only in vector. You could do it in a vector program, but it takes time adjusting the colors to look like shadow and highlight whereas this looks like it does it automatically.
